Even restarting the app or computer did not help. Any font I add into my watched folders immediately becomes available for activation in FontBase on both machines and easily locatable. I tried using Fontbase to manage my fonts, but its seems like Figma does not recognize the fonts I activated. I have manually sorted my fonts into folders named by style categories on my iMac, which I sync to my cloud backup. Imported locations are kept up-to-date automatically. Although there were some features the paid version included that I felt would be useful, I mainly felt that a piece of software that is so well thought out, so well supported and also reasonably priced, deserved my hard earned dollars. Then I stumbled onto FontBase, tried out the free version and loved it. For years I struggled with the clumsiness of Font Book on my Mac, mostly because it was free. As a graphic designer, font management is critical, especially as I have over 4000 fonts on my system.
